加拿大公民考練習題(the Canadian Citizenship Practice Test)(二)


練習題總共有238題,發現無法在上一篇文章中载完全部(哈!Yahoo的容量給太少了,希望公司改進跟上潮流)


我覺得取的公民資格,只是一種官方形式,不管英文讀與說多菜,我週遭的朋友照樣都過關了,所以只要用心去準備,大家都可以過關。


******公民考試的年齡僅限於18歲到54歲(18歲以下依附父或母之下,不用考試與面試,但55歲以上者仍需面試但不用參與考試)

 建議新移民有意於3年後申請公民者,務必小心紀錄出入加拿大的紀錄(才能準確的計算出滿3年的日子),尤其常常出入境的人,更要記錄清楚,否則算錯日子(申請日算起少於3年,即時只少兩天滿3年),會被退件(有實際的例子),事後重新申請,還被政府拖延時間(因為已經被記上不誠實的記號)。


小孩的英文名字與中文譯英,想要同列在公民卡與加拿大護照上,必須在申請公民的表格內就附上學校的學生證或成績單(內會打出小孩的英文與法定的中文英譯名字),以證明列上英文名的依據。

加拿大公民考練習題(the Canadian Citizenship Practice Test)(一)

考完公民考後的一對一面談,官員問我題目難不難? "很簡單"!  也許是本身個性的督促(做任何事都得全力以赴),從接到通知考試日起的近一個月時間,有空就讀題庫,連政治題目都不放過,結果一個也沒考到政治題。

什麼人可以申請公民(Citizenship)?>>>>指拿到PR(Permanent Resident) 紙後,住在加拿大境內4年(1460天)內須滿3年(1095天)以上者,可以著手申請公民(https://services3.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/resCalcStartNew.do?〈=en   此官方網站有自動幫忙計算居住日期數的算法Residence Calculator)。這程序從申請至拿到公民卡約需1年的時間。


一般申請加拿大公民的方式有兩種>>>1. 花錢請專業人士代勞(不鼓勵),2.自己上www.canada.bc.ca (加拿大移民局)列印申請表格,按指令一步一步地填寫與準備資料再寄出,或電各地的中僑服務處(專為華人服務的民營機構)約時間與專人會面拿表格與問自身問題,還可以得到諮詢,如果要中僑代勞填寫表格,仍需付費。從申請表格寄出起約7-9個月會收到何時與何地公民考試的通知單(一般約20幾天後就考試了)。但這期間的第3-4個月會收到一封大信封袋(附上一封信>>表示幾號已經收到申請表,而且開始審理與一本薄薄的"A Look at Canada">>> 共47頁,有關考試的內容)。如果考試與面試皆通過,將於4-6個月內收到通知何時參與公民宣誓典禮(Cityzenship Ceremony),如果沒通過考試,將會收到通知何時與公民官員(Citizensip Judge)再一次口頭面試(當然是問有關考試裡的內容了)。如果在申請時已經滿55歲者,不用參與考試,但是會安排口頭面試(內容是有關考試內的題目)。


考試當天約有50人應試(大溫哥華區在溫哥華市中心>>>unit #200  877 Expo. BLVD, Vancouver 在BC Place 旁,開車者可以停在BC place的付費停車場,或搭捷運到Stadium 站下車走路過去),考試前先用2B鉛筆(他們會提供)寫上自己的姓與通知單上CIC號碼,再將自己的姓按A-Z圈黑在1/2A4再小20%的卡片左上方,右上方圈黑通知單上CIC號碼),卡片的中間左邊寫上全名與右邊寫上應試當天日期/時間(按照通 知單上的填寫可),最下面有20題的電腦閱卷(分兩邊,每邊10題,每題有a、b、c、d 的4個選擇,只要選出最正確的一個答案,在對的字母上面圈黑(有30分鐘考試)。答完交出卡片後,轉到隔壁的面試大廳等候公民官員(Citizenship Judge)叫名一對一櫃檯面試(約有4-5個櫃檯),面試的話題與家人、工作類有關(對話有長有短,如你現在有工作嗎? 那老公呢?.....)。從考試到面試結束約1小時時間。(考卷20題,約2-3張,共有8種版本,從A到H,拿到的那一份在第一頁的中間有A到H的其中一個字母,再圈黑在小卡片的右上方欄位(Version)內的其中一個屬於自己手上的字母上。)

英吉利海灣(English Bay)一日遊



每年7-8月最吸引卑斯省的人去看煙火表演比賽的英吉利海灣,今天終於讓我看到了她的真面目,她集合了最漂亮的Sunset Beach 與English Bay Beach在一起,除了可以騎腳踏車、健走來回6公里以上(步道尚可以通到史丹利公園-Stanley Park繼續消耗一天的旅遊時間)、游泳外,還可以帶小朋友到海邊玩沙與兒童遊戲場,真是全家的好去處!

暑期青少年夏令營(6歲至10歲) Summer Children’s Program >>>>是按照每週的學習主題,為學生平均安排課堂的活動與各式的戶外教學(從活動中去學習英文,沒有正規的英文課),父母可以與學生被安排在寄宿家庭中。學習主題包括---氣象、古埃及、非洲、熱帶雨林、營養學。

位於本拿比市的郊外,近新西敏市,附近有一座Robert  森林公園(走路5分鐘),公園內有室外游泳池,是一所社區型的小學。小學6年級以下(6-12歲)的學生,可以參加此社區小學的暑期夏令營Summer Fun Camp(離我住家300公呎外,不上正式的英文課程,只是從遊玩中去聽說英文,包括繪畫、游泳、操場活動與每星期四的戶外遠足。四星期全天研習費$1800.00(包括學費、寄宿費、三餐、溫哥華醫療保險、接機、送機)。學生也可以參加5星期以上的夏令營,預計5月下旬開始報名,額滿即停止報名。   The Summer Fun  includes 1 field trip every week(such as the Zoo, Splashdown Park , the Beach. and  special places) and swimming, Splashdown, parks, games and activities, Crescent Beach, crafts, Special Events, playland, themed weeks, cooking , Queens Park, Talent shows.   Children can attend as many weeks as they sign up for.  Registration will be on May 25th  afterschool in the community room.

英語夏令營活動注意簡介:


世界各地每年有許多學生到加拿大參加英語夏令營,一邊學習一邊遊覽,充分體現了“寓教於樂”的特點。我們安排近一個月的異國生活使學生和教師有機會瞭解加拿大學校的教學方法,加拿大社會的風土人情,良好的語言環境使學生改變目前“啞巴英語”的狀況。學生在加拿大期間週一至週五每天上午上課,其他時間安排參觀遊覽溫哥華附近景點或和寄宿家庭在一起。學習結束發給證書予以留念,整個活動將給學生們留下美好難忘的記憶。以下就有關具體問題做出解釋:


1、在加拿大期間的安全問題? 安全是學生學校、家長最關心的問題,也是加拿大學校最關心的問題。加拿大學校會為每一個班級(15-20 名學生)配備一位班主任,同時邀請中方派出教師參與管理,教師在上課和外出活動中始終伴隨學生,其餘時間外出有寄宿家庭家長陪伴。同時每位學生將享有醫療保險、意外傷害保險。


2 、什麼是 ESL ESL 意為英語是第二種語言,意指英語為非母語的國家。


3 、加拿大教師有何特點? 參加工作的教師都經過 ESL 培訓,能夠聽懂帶口音的英語發音,能夠從學生講出的簡單英語單詞中理解學生想表達的意思,然後進行正確的引導,並糾正學生錯誤的發音。


4、寄宿家庭的情況如何? 寄宿家庭是經過嚴格挑選後確定的,首要條件是無任何不良記錄,其次是家庭生活條件、家庭結構良好。大部分寄宿家庭有多年的接待經驗,具有良好的信譽。根據學生的具體情況,安排二名學生住一戶家庭,並且儘量安排入住有與之年齡相仿孩子的寄宿家庭。


5、夏天溫哥華的氣候如何?  夏天是溫哥華一年中氣候最好的時期,白天溫度在 28 左右,夜間溫度在 16 左右,很少下雨。由於所處緯度較高,早晨 5:00 已經天亮,晚上要到 9:00 以後天才黑。一般白天可以穿短袖 T 恤或裙子(或短褲),早、晚天氣較涼,需要穿長褲和薄外衣。 所以請準備足夠四天穿的外衣(包括T恤、褲子或裙子),及足夠五天穿的內衣褲,一件防風雨外套,一套運動服及游泳衣。如果有計畫去冰河參觀(近洛磯山脈),還是要帶一件厚外套(冬季用的)。
